In late November, we travelled to the takayna/Tarkine region of North-Western Tasmania to join the Bob Brown Foundation for their 2017 bioblitz.
A hundred and forty scientists, organisers, and participants gathered together for a weekend of ecological surveying, in order to document the rich biodiversity of the ancient rainforests, wild coastlines, and open buttongrass plains.
We gathered the data and imagery collected, and compiled a story map of the weekend. Delve deep and explore the biodiversity of takayna/Tarkine in our interactive map.
